Unbridled capatlism in 100 years has transformed our planet to something beyond sustainability. 100 years ago we lived realitivly decent lives without oil and the trappings of capatalism. Unfortunatly special intrests trumps the environment. Case in point. Congress is about to bail out the auto industry with $35Billion and the assumption that it will build better cars as the Chevy Volt Electric. Do we seriously believe that we need to bulldoze the top of our mountains off and send the coal to polluting power plants so we can charge our cars for 6 hours so they can go 20 miles is in our best intrest? OR has some powerfull loby like the electrical industry trumped reality for corporate profit? We but fodder and consumers fueling a cancer on the planet called capatalism.
